About Me

I live in Cambridge, work in Brighton, travel abroad when I can, write fiction, published in Femspec and Dissections, criticism and poetry, published in Ambit, Running on Empty, Spokes and in books Pearls, Fixtures and Fissures (Calypso press). I teach or have taught both creative writing and writing for academic publication. I co edit a couple of online magazines -Spokes poetry magazine (www.simegen.com/writers/spokes) and Dissections (www.simegen.com/writers/dissections)which is dark fantasy and horror . I used to coordinate womens studies at a university and would describe myself and my work as most often feminist.
