First week of September, and there's a chill in the air already. Lewis went back to school yesterday, but Joe's school is closed until next week. The belltower's roof has come loose - it's been that kind of summer! Andy took two weeks off work, it was good to have some uninterrupted time together. It's been a fairly quiet holiday, we didn't venture very far this year. Andy has since decided to cut his working week by a day, which pleases me.

Had a lie-in this morning, I was feeling rough and Andy took the kids to school. Slept until eleven so I must have needed it. Had the remainder of mum's beef casserole for lunch, proper comfort food. So this afternoon I cleaned the fridge, and now - lo and behold - I'm here. It has been a strange few weeks I suppose. After being all pleased with myself for losing four pounds, I got my period last week and regained the lot. Hopefully it's a temporary setback but I didn't take it very well.
